ang router bay, mao na ang modistribute sa data to specific computers sa network. ang switch, igo ra siya mu connect sa mga computers to form a network. mao na ako nabasahan diri ay. hehehe!

switch only forward packets while router terminate packets..

naa pud baya multilayer or layer 3 switch with routing capability just like the router

switch "in general" will never forward packets but only frames. packet is for router w/c is in layer3.

ang ma handle sa switch is para network sa mga pc og full duplex ya hatag sa speed unlike sa hub na bahinon pa nya.... ang router for path determination, mao pud ni gamit kau para sa interconnectivity, act as a gateway... sa WAN, labi na sa mga lagyo na dapit para mag kita ang ila ka network of same company.... capable na sya para IP telephony, dedicated pud sa server og mag agad unsa imo backbone gigamit para kusog ang connections or transfer of data... pwd kau nimo ma apply ang security sa isa ka company mag VLAN ka,, pwd ka mag access list na madeny or ma accept ang any ip or protocols na magamit... gamt pud kau ni para maka configure ka para sa IP telephony, teleconference.....
