Hello Guys,

Who would want to know how to configure PLDT Zyxel modem to share internet connection to multiple computers without buying a router. Just switch.PM me.

there are two ways actually bro.

one is by using two lan cards. the first card connected from your ISP. 2nd LAN card connected to your switch. then use the network wizard in windows xp to share your internet connection.


another way is by using winroute. but still you will be using the two LAN cards.

sa among balay bai kay ang taga PLDT man to akong gipa configure. pero last week ako sila gitawgan kay ako ipa-configure ang modem nila sa opisina sa akong uyab, gibalibaran ko sa kanahan kay dili na daw na nila problima! unya private line ra daw ang dsl dili business line. papaliton nasad daw ko ug router nga for 5 years naman guro na akong connection sa balay wala man gyud ko nag router2! maski gani sa cafe nako wala gyud ko router2! pero sa opisina sa ko uyab kay nag set-up nalang gyud ko router kay maayo man ayo pldt gud. hehe

exactly. PLDT don't really want to configure because in the first place negosyo jud. pero we didn't realize and get the point that zyxel modem has a router functionality therefore there's always a way how to configure it and if nahan ta sharing na dali for our dsl connection so palit jud ka router not thinking na router na daan imo modem. Mahal pa jud. diri sa balay bai ako jud na nabuhat na switch lang and was able to configure the modem. so palit lang ko 8 ports na switch so murag internet cafe nako @999 lang.sulit kaau. duha ako computers diri balay plus laptop pa 3 tanan.

as we know that almost all new models of DSL modems now have the capability to route already... in other words, they are already modem-router...you just need to search the technical details for it in the web, reset the modem(for ISP might set their own password for it), and enter its system configuration to activate or configure its router feature. uncle google is your very friend for that

but in my part, i always use external/separate router even though I can configure my adsl modem to be a router too. i like the convenient in troubleshooting when problems come in my internet connection with a separate router i love also watching many led lights from my internet thingy gadgets ^^

magdepende gyapon sa zyxel model unsa diay ang model P650 series? as what i have Known PLDT doesn't give you the Util / Management Disk inig install nila....negosyo jud kau...

ako nasad na gibuhat bro.. ang zyxel ra ang nag share sa internet.. so far ok raman.. so.. nara na diha sa modem ang config ana para ma share nimo ang internet connection.

zyxel gihapon ang giprovide sa ako-a sa mydsl... murag router nani bro kay ako ra ni gi connect sa switch then ang tanan unit na naka network naa na internet.
