    hot pixels (sometimes called as stuck pixels) are commonly recognized as LCD manufacturing problem; in a usual dedicated LCD monitor, it can be cured through a downloadable software under windows operating systems. ive fixed also hot pixels before in LCDs by gently massaging the LCD's plastic surface. in this situation, its either in its LCD or the sensor itself.

    if its the LCD, would be hard to fix since it has a glass surface(just like a capacitive touch screen LCD surface) and cannot be applied with massage fixing; and or cannot be cured through downloadable programs since its operating systems wont support it. if its the sensor, it would be very complicated and hopefully can be just fixed with firmware soon.

    According to Nikonhq.com, nikon is preparing a fix to combat the problem, hopefully thru firmware upgrade lang and dili recall sa mga 1st batch nga release. Other than that, this is an awesome camera, as far as have toyed with it so far. Now, the problem is to find the time to take lots and lots of pictures with it.

    Katung nakapalit na... have you encountered the same problem as mine or other glitches you know,if any. Thanks.

    The following is the translation of the official statement on Nikon Japan’s website. Here is the original statement in Japanese.
    “The issue of visible hot pixels appearing in videos taken in low light with the D7000 was brought to our attention from a handful of our customers. Although this issue will not cause problems from a practical standpoint, in order to achieve a greater level of customer satisfaction, we have decided to offer a firmware update to reduce such occurrences.

    Details will be announced at a later date.

    For any enquiries, please contact the Nikon Customer Support Centre.
    We look forward to your continued patronage.”

    To add more, some existing 3rd party lenses will not auto focus during live view mode (video) pero no worries I'm sure it will be address with a firmware update in the near future

    @etian
    D7K is a worthy investment, gamay rana nga drawback ang mga reported issues which is expected since bago paman ni nga unit (pareha rapod na sa 7D sa una when it hit the market), mostly firmware update ray katapat ana, besides dli man pod totally impaired ang general functionally sa camera with those issues reported.
