Sound problem? Driver or Hardware?

driver ra na brah...mao na ako mga nasugatan nga problema sa pag-install sa win7 kasagran sa audio..
1st nako gibuhat kay install ang old driver that comes with the cd but before installing i-right click ang setup.exe (Right Click>Properties>Compatibilty) dayon check ang Run this compatible with Windows Xp Sp3 nga box then click OK...usually this works pero if dili try updated drivers

in addition to this topic. naa pd kay e check sa bios setting katong sa north or south bridge na e auto ang front panel then ang pilion is AC 97. i think for desktop akong g refer ani...

I agree driver/software problem but observing it for 2weeks doesn't get you anywhere

pareha tag problema bro, naka encounter ko ana, naa nagpaset up nku ug windows7 sa laptop ok ra gdetect tanan pag install nku sa drivers nga package sa laptop wla na hnuon mo tingog, uninstall nlang nako... ni work rman japon...

Basta windows 7 imong i install automatic install naman ang mga drivers.. Unsa na windows 7 imong gamit?

@apolinario: Thats the microsoft Generic drivers pre installed and its not recommended to use and still when you check at device manager its all in ? mark on it to all hardware parts. Therefore you need the actual driver of the hardware parts.
