no wonder why the government only praises the people you give glory our achieve something big in our country. example are our athletes. you have to win international competition first to get the "total support" from the government.

the prolblem is not just corruption, it's mismanagement!!!
yes, i agree, we filipinos need to grow up, be mature, we dont depend our future to others, being a mature individual, its our responsibilty to make ourself secure in our own hands, be independent is that what i mean

    Too much corruption and individualism.

Corruption. Take for example one is applying for a driver's license. Even if the applicant is not that qualified to drive because of lack of skill and mental qualification, the applicant is issued a license because of the grease money involved. These unqualified applicant then drives and ply the streets. He then posed a danger in the highway. Not for long either he meeets and accident or just hurt and killed somebody all because the government agency tasked to regulate did not do its job because of money.

Individualism. People doesnt care what happen in our society. They see that one is doing wrong. But he just didnt do anything, anyway it doesnt affect me and my family. Just look for example what happened in Lebanon. We are not affected by the plight of the OFWs there. We are just watching like spectators. we didnt feel outraged that while other nationalities are evacuated long time ago, our workers, the modern day heroes are still trapped in Lebanon and our government still is debating how to get them out of there. There is a fund for OFWs thru OWWA but this fund is not existing because it was used for something else.

Yet we just sit there and didnt even bother to demand from those responsible where is the money for OFWs.

maybe because those OFWs in Lebanon are not our relatives.

this is one thning i learn from the book of Robert Kiypsaki "Retire Young, Retire Rich" _ be careful on the people you go with, they will influence you - if you always go with the rich, you will be rich, your thinking will br change from poverty mentality to prosperity mentality

Saon na lang...human nature. we tend to be more critical with our own kind without thinking na bisan asa wala man gyud perfect person, perfect system in this world we just tend to notice our own systema of faults and defaults but look at other third world countries, its the same thing. Everyone has a sense of what is going on around them. We are just analyzing why oh whys...well, oh why i dont know why that's why, lol. ( i have to remember no smilies its a habit of tuplok ). kani na lang ; cheese!
