    The HD5970 is dual-gpu. While the GTX480 is not. It would be insane if the GTX 480 could out-perform it. Probably later this year, makakita na ta ug GTX480x2.

    Actually, there's a case that the GTX480 is almost two times faster than the HD5970.
    It's in the Unigine Heavy Tessellation Benchmark.

    In real world apps, HD5970 is faster.

    i don't see how good those prices are, when the performance results of the video cards can't justify its price. (rumored final prices)

    GeForce GTX 470 is some 5-10% faster than Radeon HD 5850
    GeForce GTX 480 is some 5-10% faster than Radeon HD 5870
