ok.. so i need a new router.. but my modem/router wont affect or confuse my "new router"??

Pwede ra pod switch nalang imong gamiton then make sure naka router mode ang imo Speedstream.

Base on my experience kung gamiton nimu ang USB ug Ethernet connection at the same time sa imong modem dili mo gana ang Ethernet port. Bell Sympatico a Canadian ISP use this kind of modem.

sakto ni bai. 1 pc ra ang maka connect sa imo modem. mag function lang ang router niya kun econnect nimo sa hub with 2 or more PCs.

suggestion lang if your using 2 pc. use the usb port to connect your pc to modem. then connect both LAN of ur PC and laptop using a crossover. unit connected to the modem will act as server in your ISP settings. PM lang kun libog ka. hahaha

so if i connect my PC with the ethernet cable and the laptop with the usb cable will there be a change in the internet performance?? or will this setup work??

diretso ra na ethernet port connect to desktop (straight cable)
usb connect to laptop, no need hub nor switch.. kay naka dhcp nana and lan default ip ug usb port na ka assign nana.

thanks for that info bro... but honestly, gamay ra akoa nasabtan sa info kay technical kaau.. up to now nagsige pa ko search ug mga ways to connect my pcs without affecting my connection..
