Look I lived 50 years in the United States. Most of it in Houston, Texas in an area called Montrose. It had one of the largest Gay populations in the United States. Homosexuality is a conscious choice. Homosexuality is in most part a progression of initiation not procreation. They are just regular citizens and not a minority class, social class, or nationality.

As far as I know, Hinduism is the oldest and the most ancient religion among the five and in fact they don't call it religion but as a way of life coz every person born in India are automatically called indian or Hindu! The bible of the jews and christians were not yet written during that time. The sacred scripture there was THE BHAGAVAD GITA AND THE VEDAS which includes THE UPANISHADS!

And Krishna, God himself according to the Vedic scriptures, appeared here 5,000 years ago. Buddha, about 500 B.C., Jesus, about 2,000 years ago. If you go through the different religious book and study this question deeply, you will find out that Hinduism is the oldest religion of the world. There are no dates and facts, but its history is about more than 50000 thousands years ago.

This time of total conversion took about 250 years to spread to all the population of Iran. Islam's "Convert or Die" works well for them. Indonesia is Muslim, Malaysia will be soon, and then the Philippines will be next. You will not follow Christ and the Bible out of free will, but you will surly follow Islam.

Islam will kill the Hebrew, Christian, Pagan, unbeliever, and Atheist alike. Follow Islam or lose your head. They can have mine.

Well evil men have used and twisted the Christian text to justify their acts of evil. "Yes", those that claimed to be Christians have done unspeakable acts in the past, present, and surly will in the future. Do you judge every Christian and hold them accountable for acts committed by others? Postings on this thread shows that answer to be "Yes."
But Christ teachings instructs us to love our neighbor, yes we are instructed to spread the word of Christ throughout the world.
Should the whole Philippines and all Filipinos be judged for the evil acts committed by 100 Filipino's who just massacred innocent people in South Mindanao? They were after all Filipinos. Do you judge all Muslims for the crime? It is a Muslim region, so the must all be Muslim. NO, to do that is IGNORANT! They have to be considered evil acts committed by evil men. And each man's crime considered individually. That is something the forum members seem to have forgotten.

There are some fundamental differences and similarly in Christianity and Islam. I am not Catholic but since it is the largest Church in the Philippines I will reference it, as an example to use only as a comparison. If I get something wrong please feel free to correct me, that is how we learn.

a. Catholic doctrine is "Repent of your sins, so you will have salvation when you die". Islam doctrine is "Repent of your sins, so you will have salvation when you die". So yes in that aspect they are the same.

b. What are the views on Apostacy? Apostacy means to leave a religion. It means to once have been a member or believer in a faith and then to cease to believe or to convert to another faith or to question an important aspect of ones faith.

Catholic doctrine teaches: that a follower can leave the church, but he will be excommunicated (drop from the church roles) but that member is not to be killed, in fact they can freely return to the church later if they choose. Now there are cases in the old testament were Apostacy was punished by death. I do not want to be accused of denial on passages in the Bible, but I will not allow them to be taken out of context. This happens a lot with the text. This is the problem with the Bible, people just choose to use a little here and a little there without considering why they were written. Religious leaders are the worst, and foolish people do not read them for themselves and catch their deceptions. This is how evil men manipulate followers.
