sorry bro but gtx 480 is still faster than 5870 most of the results regardless the power consumption etc etc.
wait until they completely fixed their new technology.. fermi is a different technology than the previous nvidia series..
ati still want their glory back but just for a while..

The GTX 480 is faster then 5870, NO ONE IS ARGUING ABOUT THAT, WE ALL KNOW THAT! People are upset and dissapointed because of the results and comparison between GTX 480 and 5870, is only 5% to 15% improvement depending on games, and of course Bad Power Consumption and Heat Problems. ITS A NEWER TECHNOLOGY, it should be better then that, compared to ATI's older technology. and still 5970 is still king of the hill. Stop blabbing about a GTX 495 which isn't even out yet, because an ATI user will just say "your GTX 495 will get owned by a 6970 just wait!"

GTX 480 is a great card... no doubt about it... pero tungod kay dugay siya gi-release... ni-taas ug maayo ang expectations sa mga tawo... taas ra kaayo para sila ma-dismaya sa resulta. pero it still is a great card. hehehe! but since naa naman koy 5870, di nako mo-upgrade ana... and i would definitely find whatever reason i can, para di nko masuyo sa GTX480... hehehe!

Lmao, you are the one thats arrogant, IF YOU ACTUALLY READ MY POST AGAIN.. NO ONE IS ARGUING, GTX 480 is faster then a 5870. but i am explaining to you why many people are dissapointed with the GTX 480 Fermi techonlogy.

I don't understand your point ? We have 1200watt power supplies and what ? not everyone can spend that much on a power supply or even afford it. Not everyone can afford a 3-4 Video Card setup.

For a person who's going for a 3-4 Video Card Setup, it really depends on him if he is really going to be concern with his consumption or not.

Of course people who own 3-4 Video Card Setup's are richer, have more money. Compared to most people! don't you get it ?

Not everyone is rich, and even if they are, we are trying to save money, especially on power consumption.
Almost everyone will try to TIPID on there electricity because its expensive and it costs money.

It's like turning on the aircon, a person who's saving money turns it off in the middle of the night to save money.

i think nvidia also said that fermi(GTX 480) is gonna be 40% faster than 5870, so now u only see 5-10% increase? gi kapoi sila hinuwat nya mao ra diay ghapon to ang fermi just a bit faster than 5870. i know how it feels to be a fanboi bai lolz
