Jesus is also a God. He is the son of God the Father. He was with God the father even before the creation and Jesus is the Wisdom of God the father. But I NEVER said Jesus and God the Father are the same.

Christ willingly died on the Cross for the salvation of Mankind.
You are saying that Christ is selfish and fearful.
Christ says he is willing to die for you and me and for all humanity. This is the Will of God and Christ because their love for mankind far exeeds any fear.
Their utmost purpose is of very noble cause.
