 The fact that they are there "to gain experience" means they are learning from more experienced nurses.  Don't tell me that these fresh grads already know everything, it is a certainty that they are being taught some very important things by the experienced personnel.  I'm not suggesting that they should pay the hospital I'm merely saying that the nurses complaining about not being paid are not looking at it the right way.  The right way to think about it is that they actually are getting paid a salary but that salary is being deducted to zero in order to pay for the training they received.  In other words, the hospital and the nurse are both benefiting from the arrangement.
