Most of the college course, 4 years pud. And most also have a board exam >_>
Pero katung ubang course, dili abroad apas nila after graduate.
Duh, if given the chance na mahatagan ug permanent citizenship, kwaon dayun na. And yeah, dako silag remittance.... pero are they actually working for our homeland or for their family in our homeland? >_>

but if you were given a chance to go abroad for the sake of your family and giving them a better life, di nimo dawaton kay gusto ka tabangan jud nimo ang pilipinas? Would you let a good opportunity pass you by because of your so-called patriotism? Think realistically, not ideally. Making a better pilipinas starts with you and your family, give them a good life.
If the nurses have a problem with this, they should bring it up with their future employers (e.g., the destination countries and medical boards where they intend to migrate to) since it is their requirements that are forcing the nurses to undertake low-paying or non-paying jobs here for work experience.
I can understand why people really want to leave the country, but in my opinion wanting a better life for your family is not a good excuse for this kind of mentality. By moving skills abroad you are making conditions worse here. Even worse, a lot of OFW's end up making their children and spouse dependent on remittance so they don't even bother looking for a job and becoming self-sufficient. Our country has become dependent on remittances, it's like a drug that makes us feel better and stops our country from becoming bankrupt but in the long term is harmful to our country and families...

better income = better life for the family
kinsa gud tawn tarong nga parents dili ganahan nga ma arang2x ang kahimtang sa ila pamilya
citizen (mag tinarong + hardworking mode + swerte) overseas = pamilya maka benefit
government mag tinarong + hardworking mode = pilipinas maka benefit
unsaon manang highly skilled nga employee kung mag lisod ka ug hatag ug maayong ugma sa imo pamilya![]()
