at these times especially when ur living in the city, its hard to find geniune vegetables also. Some vegetables are grown with the use of chemicals and fertilizers so its hard to say that your eating healthy. Other concern also is with how you cook them. Some vegetables when overcooked dont yeild the exact amount of nutrients anymore...

better ask a vegetarian nutritionist regarding your meal plans...

    I'm Vegan.

The difference between Vegans and Vegetarians is that there are plenty kinds of Vegetarians. They can be lacto-ovo (consumes dairy, eggs), pesco-vegetarian (consumes fish) - vegans are PURE vegetarians. we don't consume ANY traces of animal products OR dairy/eggs at all. For example, we can't eat chocolate because it contains MILK, or we can't eat pastry because eggs are used in making pastry (unless it's baked with vegan ingredients like egg substitute, butter substitute) - that means NO cream, no butter, no eggs, no dairy, no icecream... so much more. NOTE, BODY BUILDERS: NO PROTEIN SUPPLEMENTS (they contain whey) - that means we have to look at EVERY label, and see if they contain traces of "milk" "whey" or any other animal derivative, and we don't consume it.

The thing is to keep it simple - eat it if it came from the root, or fell off from the tree. Vegetables and fruits are the way to go.

One thing that you need is extra iron, calcium, and Vitamin B12. It's VERY important to take these supplements, because VERY small amounts are only found in plants. If you have a deficit in these proteins it could be detrimental to your health. I suggest taking a multivitamin and a B12 supplement daily (every morning).

About the protein myth.. don't believe that BS. I've read so many books on this and done so much research and we can get as much protein (AND MORE) as animals through soy, greens (spinach, kangkong, etc.), nuts (almonds, peanuts, etc.), beans (green, black, red beans), and other legumes.

I'm a semi-vegetarian coz it's hard to not eat chicken coz mum, dad and my bro are meat eaters. I can't really eat beef coz it makes me vomit!! Plus I think cows are cute! If I had it my way, I would go full vegetarian.

We have places here that sell vegan food and it's actually really nice!
Health reasons. I feel like my body needs to have a detox. Can you tell me where they sell vegan products?

You've got a point there sir and i agree. Mora'g wala pa may Organic Grocery Store dire like Whole Foods Market chain all over the U.S. where their vegetables and other food products are grown using no chemicals. Mora'g this is a window for business da. And that's right, ask your vegetarian nutritionist a.k.a. dietician for that.

mao ni ako nakita nga definition:

Veganism is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes meat, eggs, dairy products and all other animal-derived ingredients. Many vegans also do not eat foods that are processed using animal products, such as refined white sugar and some wines. Most vegans also avoid the use of all products tested on animals, as well as animal-derived non-food products, such as leather, fur and wool.
Vegan refers to either a person who follows this way of eating, or to the diet itself.

‘A vegetarian is someone who does not eat any meat, poultry (that’s chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese to you and me), game (any animal caught by hunters), fish, shellfish, or crustacea (including lobsters, shrimps and crabs), or any other product that comes from dead animals (such as gelatine or rennet).'
