What im planning if dili ko maka consistent sa akong pagka lacto-ovo vegan is that akong source of protein is fish nalang gyud. No more red meats!!!chicken and turkey pwede rapud sometime pero mostly maau gyud fish lang. As you go older man gud consuming red meat will really pay off on ur health man gyud (heart problems) kay bisag unsa ka lean ang meat naa man gyud cya fat na dala. Ang fish kay naa fat pero healthy fats man cya (omega 3) if im not mistaken which is good for your heart and for your arteries (make it more elastic)...
share more bro. unsay kanon nimo breakfast lunch dinner? ang unsa na mga proteins kelangan?

the best na TS. i started vegan vegetarian diet since college.thats about 10 years na.
Actually our original diet consist of fruits and herbs or vegetables.
If you read the story of Daniel and his three friends. they chose to eat vegetables than kkin's meat and drink water rather than king's wine. and they were more healthy and brilliant.
I have diet programs for vegans and i have a book cooking smart its for vegetarians.

    @chinody

two thumbs up for mr/ms. hornales. im still planning to have fish and eggs and veggies for this next year. Breakfast would always be 3 whole eggs 3 egg whites and 1 cup of oatmeal uncooked (uncooked only the measurement of the oatmeal of course i have to cook it later before eating ). If it is inconvenient for me to eat eggs (since i have to boil them) i use instead a whey protein shake or soya milk as my source of protein. The rest of the day hopefully i can find some sweet potatoes for my carbohydrates or wheat bread combined with fish as my source of protein. Alternate lang eggs and fish and whey. As much as possible i am staying away from high sodium and high carbohydrate foods (refined carbs). The reason i chose sweet potatoes or wheat is that they have a low glycemic index, they do not cause a sudden rise on my insulin levels. The sudden rise of insulin makes u fat. I need to eat 5-6 meals a day or even 7 just to keep my metabolism on the fast track, eating smaller but frequent meals in a day.

Anyway, if you really want a good source of vegetable diet go to Miller Sanitarium and Hospital (if your from cebu). They have soy and tofu products there as your source of protein. They cook also good vegetable dishes without any high sodium content (w/out MSG). If i'm not mistaken, mr/ms. hornales is from there or is somehow connected there...

    cheers...

before the flood where people are vegan vegetarians, they live a lot of years up to 900+ but after the flood, when people started meat eating the lifespan of man has drastically decreased as low as to 70 years old Psalms 90:10.
Would u share any report or studies made that people longtime ago who eat meat lives longer than vegetarians?
The Bible shows a very good example of healthy lifestyle depicted by the life of Daniel and his three friends.
Even after 10 days, they came out as more healthy and wise than their peers. The Bible example is enough to prove that going vegetarian is the better decision for good health.

Temperance is moderation of things that are good and abstinence of things that are bad.
Protein from meat causes rise in bad cholesterol while protien from plants decreases the bad cholesterol or the HDL - high density lipoprotein.
abstinence from bad cholesterol is better than a little of bad and a little of good.
moderation of good is better is the way to go than moderation of bad.
a little of bad and a little of good is not balance.
Eating varieties of plants and fruits is what we call as balance diet.

What's ur reason for switching? Sorry if u've mentioned it but I don't speak bisaya lol! So is it for health reasons? Religious? :\ Are u concerned about the environment? Or do u think being vegan just sounds cool? Coz it's a pretty significant change! This means no animals or anything that comes from an animal like milk and eggs.

I'm a semi-vegetarian coz it's hard to not eat chicken coz mum, dad and my bro are meat eaters. I can't really eat beef coz it makes me vomit!! Plus I think cows are cute! If I had it my way, I would go full vegetarian.

We have places here that sell vegan food and it's actually really nice!
