I personally think that religion is the biggest distraction to humans. Instead of working and learning new things, they devote their time praying, reciting and performing rituals, meditating, anticipating another realm after they die or creating a self-inflicted fear and guilt when they are not obedient to what their religion teaches. Guys, tell us what you think.

If you think religion is what keeping humans from improvements then that's a lame excuse. Long before the computer was invented, religion already exist. So tell me what distraction are you talking about?

Distraction?.?....yes or no would result to an endless argument or debate, all of us have different opinions that must be RESPECTED.



I might as well share some of my own actual experiences regarding this matter.

1. Several years ago I ALMOST raped a young beautiful lady (drunk) but didn't because my religious teachings somehow got the better of my conscience during that time.

2. On several occasions I could had easily fallen into an adulterous affair with some succulent MARRIED women had it not been a pang of a guilty conscience..(again due to religious teachings that forbids it so)

3. Only once did this happened that I almost shot a notorious holdupper, but didn't because he asked for forgiveness..(I know as I knew that his words were just mere lies...but then again the phrase "Thou shall not Kill" kept ringing in my mind at that time.)

4. In the past and up to now, a lot of times I had been unfairly wronged by different people/acquaintances....and yet I tried so HARD to forgive and forget even if it hurts like SHIT, just for the simply reason that my religion forbids me to hold grudges to anyone.

Now, is Religion a distraction?.?......I have given my share of experiences...It's up to the readers to judge.
