The word religion is sometimes used interchangeably with faith or belief system. If you're referring to religion that pertains worshiping God then maybe you are wrong. If there's no such thing then maybe chaos ang resulta. If wala pod na then what you are doing most, what you dedicate yourself into will somehow become your religion. You on other hand blamed it for somewhat enslavement.. could be. But that depends on what set of morality you prefer. As far as BIG distraction to humans is concerned? I think it's fear and greed.
