Lol, As for Pace University -- there are smart people there even though their mostly known for their "partying and get wasted" curriculum .

Have you tried to have a friendly conversation to these people, I mean your superiors, colleagues, and the students? Do you quickly understand them with their NY accent?? It's sooooo funny you said the "ENGLISHMEN" also speak with wrong grammar. Yeah, it's true but at least not the same level as those people we're talking about in this thread . There are a lot of white/black people speak with wrong grammar but they're the ones who only went to a community college or trade school .. It's possible too some of them never even graduated high-school !!

I'm a Filipino but I find it annoying that Filipinos always think they're the best and our race is the greatest blah blah .. JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW BEFORE THEY SET THEIR FOOT IN NORTH AMERICA, we're not the "best" .. Contrary to popular beliefs in the Philippines, Filipinos are not better than Americans and any other races and Filipinos are not are the best workers ...

I think the newsflash about employers aren't hiring Filipinos anymore should be a strong message to Filipinos out there who still clinging to their delusion that our race is way better than any race . They listen too much songs like NOYPI, Pinoy Ako and etc ..

Oh, for the "ENGLISHMENS" thing, you can see I put a quotation mark in an attempt to pull a satire on grammar. Loooool. But you took it very seriously . I know now why they're not hiring Filipinos anymore .. Hmmm ..

You're in NY, so why the Englishmen? Isn't supposed to be the Americans?? The Englishmen are people who who are natives and inhabitants of England.

Again, I'm a Filipino (actually, I used to but I'm trying to apply for a dual citizen though), I wasn't trying to discriminate Filipinos. It was a constructive criticism. You guys react very quickly with angst for all to see.

heyy nganong maglalis man mo woi?? Its really not worth it....Naa man jud nang discrimination..Its everywhere bisag sa pilipinas pa..Say for example nag apply mo ug work, say your both nurses and pareha mo nga smart or same mo ug backer whatever..pro ang isa mas sosyalon ug nawng or mas gwapahon ba ron syempre mas madawat jud sya ug una dba?? So its not just in the US its freakin everywhere..Basta murag lahi gani ka lain man jud na..E descriminate man gani ang black / overweight people bisag americans pa na cla...So kung maka feel man gani ang mga filipino nurses sa US ug discrimination sabta nalang na.

Ngano man lagot man kaayo mo wui ?? Whether be discrimination ni or dili , wa na tay mahimo !! Some things are meant to be ...

Filipinos are just the same as the other races here .. Not ENTIRELY true nga ang PINOY ang pinka-kugihan nga mu trabaho ..

I really meant Tisch, although I didn't know it's part of NYU .. I have colleagues are from Tisch ..

Bravo to you .. But sa case about hospitals not hiring Filipinos , we should just face the fact, bow our heads down and move on ..

I'm a true Filipino maam , that's why I gave some constructive criticism because the attitude NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED !! It's for the benefit to all Filipinos abroad ..

WE FILIPINOS SHOULD STOP THINKING THAT WE ARE THE BEST .. THIS IS SUCH A RIDICULOUS STATEMENT IMPLYING THAT IF YOU'RE NOT FILIPINO, YOU'RE SORRY ...

You should too. Napuno ug grammatical errors and imong mga posts. Sige kag panaway pero utro man sab diay ka. Written english pa gani ni. Unsa na kaha ikong verbal no?

Dili unta mag sigeg panaway ug utro kang dili maayo.

    -
I wonder what's wrong about not hiring someone who don't have a great communication skills??
I know lots of Filipino claims themselves as "they're best in the world
A lot of "professionals" here speaking broken English and only in consonants (fresh off the boat)
It's funny though that they always think they have the best English skillset in Asia compared to other countries that English is not their first language.
Why don't they just accept the fact that they don't want FILIPINOS because they have a poor English skills ??
    -

Then you have the nerve to recommend people to take "full-on ESL classes". Dude, you're a walking contradiction!

  9. #39
Discrimination is and will always be present.

Naka attend ko ug seminar before and amung speaker is a nurse who's working sa States.
I forgot kung unsa ang hospital but daku na to shag position.
Anyway, she said that there are some instances na ang mga uban nurses na Pinoy kay maka speak sa ilang own dialect in some situations (emergency or na rattle or whatever).
Of course, other members of the team can't understand them.
    So na issue to siya.
Depende ra bya gyud ni sa tao regardless of race, language and etc.

Pero I'm sorry but grabi ra sad gyud si FAQ manulti, mura sad shag di Pinoy.
To say that ALL Filipinos think that they're the best in the world (with a negative connotation) is a fallacy. Again, naa ra gyud ni sa tao.
Why do you have to generalize?

    .

You're giving us the impression nga maayo ka mo iningglis unya diay to nagkagidlay man diay na imong sinuwatan.

By the way - sorry sa sayop. But just so you know.. FULL-ON means "COMPLETE" - which is what you were trying to imply when you said "FULL-OUT" (which also means COMPLETE).
