Created this thread to give people perspective on the population problem.
However people interpret it is solely up to them. It may be an eye opener for people who dont think that population is an issue that affects our country.
My personal view on this is basically this:
- Education, Health care and Unemployment.... are directly impacted by the population growth.
Overpopulation is one of the root causes of our low income per capita.
Lack of educational facilities, health care and employment opportunities is a symptom of the problem.
Solution is to implement effective population management. This is done through educating our people on responsible parenthood and reproductive health and giving them access to health care and birth control methods should they chose to do so. this is the reason why the passage of the RHB is important.
Church can give spiritual advise to the people but it is ultimately up to the family to decide and the church should not interfere with the choice. Also, along with promoting natural family planning, the church should also teach people that having more children than can be supported is morally wrong.
