daghan laig ganahan og federal democracy but the question is ... naka sabot ba ang mga voters that can be bought ang term anang federalism?

That is why we need to educate the people of what good the federal will bring to the country once implemented. To change the culture, we need to build a system that would force them to follow. An efficient and functional system of government, FEDERALISM.

heres a good example, people voted for noyX2 because his mother is Cory, HELLO O_o now that he is president those that voted for him is now critizing him of being impotent, while if you think about it how long has he been president again hello. satX2 lang sigi dli gyud mu tanaw og padayun, dli maningkamot, dli willing mu learn og bag.o mao nang primary batasan sa mga pinoy. this is fact walay excempt ani sa batasan except for some chosen few nga katong ni asenso gyud.

I'm being frank, I live in this country also and a Filipino, but truth be told, BATI gyud kaayo ang culture sa taw diri, murag mga boang nga naka buhi ba gikan sa rule sa espanyol, dli mu think ahead and plan ahead for the future. to live and eat for the day mao ra gyud. saon.

China has been in communism for a long time but they didn't prosper. Before they are called the sleeping giant. Now that they adapt capitalism, there economy is constantly rising. And they are not a sleeping giant anymore but AWAKE. I am doing my part as a citizen Wikki. I am concern of my country. I share my views to my friends and was able to convince them. It's too early to judge Pnoy, let him take his time. He still have more than 5 yrs.

How can you change culture. Suggest pud, dili kay sige lang ta panaway.

Explore options Wikki. It gives you hope. Without options, hope is gone.
If you are hopeless, burn yourself to the ground.

take a look now, the people optimism on an inferior president.

Being too cautious is tantamount to being pessimistic to the point of overlooking the advantages. Of course, there is no perfect system. It always has pros and cons. When you know the possible downside, then think of ways to counter. Do not totally reject the remedy itself.

One of the big advantages of Federalism is that it allows the possibility that some provinces will be much more successful than others, rather than the whole country being poor and dragged down by the incompetence of the tagalogs in manila, imagine the possibility that even one province will be extremely rich. Even granted that there is a culture of corruption here, there are certain places in the Philippines that are run very well by competent politicians who are not corrupt. Even if these places are very few, their competence under the Federal system will allow small pockets of very fast development. Think about one or two mini-singapores here.. that's what is possible under the federal system when most of the taxes stay in the neighborhood.

Dako kaayu ang benefit ani sa Cebu. Gamay ra atong population kung ikumparar nato sa manila, inya daghan tag politiko nga maayo og dili kaayu kurakot.. we have great beaches for tourism, lots of call centers, hardly any traffic, almost no crime.

Huna-hunaon nalang nato ang Cebu.. kung unsay pinakamaayo para sa atoa, bahala na nang mga taga manila.. let them take care of their problems and let us take care of ours. Anyway dili man jud ni part sa pilipinas ang cebu sa-una.. wala may pilipinas before niabot ang mga katsila.. you can say nga by adopting federalism we are just going back to our original form in the past.

you cant be too optimistic esp in things dealing with money, who will pay the billions of pesos needed. it is already a fact only rich nation (with some exception) can afford federalism. we dont even have enough budget to maintain an optimum level of government services what more if we go to federalism... yes there will be gain but there will also be losses and those amounts is incalculable atm. its very possible we will run in losses and who knows what regional conflict would arise .. like commies rule, islamic front, etc.

And dont call me pessimist.. take a look at yourself.. you just labeled Philippines a sick country, like you have no future here. are you pinoy btw? personally this thread should had been close or retitled cause its really unpatriotic and treasonable.

mao na ang case karon sa mga new officials, tarung sila pero pag apply sa government office after a month nang resign, it doesnt matter if dli ka corrupt, nig sulod nimo sa system, where naa patu ang mga old dogs and thier influence ma corrupt gyud ka. thats why is say e purge gyud ang tanan, like what that little girl say sa US during an interview (forgot the name dugay na kaayo, Bush Era i think) "get rid of everyone in the system especially the old ones" then put in the new ones.

And still, bisan pa way nag tudlo nila, culture na sad lagi jud ni nato.
Sakto imong point, and we have the same point. Ilisan gyod ang tanan. It's like this:

Say for example, we will send 1thousand youths ngadto sa laing lugar. i-isolate gyod na sila, then i-educate, i-train, i-enhance ang culture, i-norture ug i-develop ug maayo ang ilang characters. After that, paulion diri, then sila ang mo lingkod as leaders sa atong country.

I think in such a way, na flush na gikan sa ilang memory ug culture ang mga naandan nato nga kinaiya. Bag-ong sinugdanan, new generations and for the future generations.

This is like a revolutionary movement. Wherein the group will train people to become good leaders.
But in this case, this should be a government funded program. Not the leftist or rightest style.

It's one of the many solutions feasible out there. This is better than nothing.

Don't take it seriously Bro. Yes, this country is sick. When I say that, it doesn't mean being unpatriotic. In fact, I'm suggesting a solution to it. I love the Philippines Bro. But what about you? What are we going to do with our beloved country? Wait for a miracle? lol. This thread earned much attention. Isn't it obvious? This is an intellectual discussion.
