The only solution is to go to civil war...para ma usab tanan...kung walay gubot walay repurma...kung sa computer pa.. kung walay corrupt sa system ug virus sa computer walay reformat ma hitabu..so the only solution para ma reformat ang goberno mag civil war..guboton...dayon usa pa mag reformat...
@sgrnim - mu post pakag OT tanan gi ka 3 pa gyud nimo. maayo.
naa gyud sa atong culture ang root cause aning problema....
daghan laig ganahan og federal democracy but the question is ... naka sabot ba ang mga voters that can be bought ang term anang federalism?
wow! that was a long read...
federalism looks like a good option. have you ever been to manila?
cebu may be developed, yes, but the difference in how developed
is like night and day.
if manila is so rich why is there still poverty? because manila is where
the money is and people are drawn there in hopes of a better life.
many of them don't find anything and are stuck there. geez... we even
have people coming to cebu for the same reason.
is manila imperial? yes, we're giving too much power and money
to people who look down on the provinces thinking we're backwards,
uneducated, and incompetant. and we're expect these same people
to help us?
mindanao should be the richest place... considering the number of
people there paying taxes. and they also have the most natural
resources. think how they would be if they were given the ability
to use it?
there are people saying here that different system with the same
people makes no difference. possibly yes. but we also have the
possibility of provincial states that are less corrupt and more
progressive... rather than just one big hunk of political corruptnes
that we have to bear with now.
I'm not sure letting the youth rise is a good idea. the youth is
easily swayed and most of the time they just do it to be accepted
among peers. I've seen many join rallies or sign signature campaigns
not really knowing what the heck it's all about. and then they become
disenchanted and you've got trouble brewing.
I've also seen people seeking public office with good intentions
just to be told by people in public office to don't fight it. you can't
change anything.
corruption will always be there... hopefully there will exceptions.
but if we have a sytem where a public official is more answerable
to his/her people then that could at least curb that corruption.
education is what this country needs more. I grew up in the
US and benefited from the free education provided from kinder to
high school (college though is a killer). it's even illegal for parents
not to send their children to school. but here we have parents
who don't send their kids to school so they have extra hands
to earn money. which is one reason masses vote for anyone
due to pogi points... they can't help it... they don't know any better.
in a federal system I am hoping that some of these states would
pool their resources to better education.
so now comes the catch 22... in order to change to a federal system
we need to educate the people.
