honestly federalism will just divide the country.

Divide! It won't. We will be called United States of the Philippines. Is it division? it's union.

    The system is not sick...

It's the people themselves who are sick...them people who look at themselves inferiorly, them people who kiss the asses of foreigners.. them people who have this colonial mentality mindset (foreigners are superior, I am inferior...)

Why am I saying this? Well, just look at the reaction of the people to the Manila hostage crisis involving foreigners (Hong Kongers).

But based on the handling by the stupid police they really showed we are inferior in this respect at least. Maybe there is basis for the feelings of inferiority as a lot of things in this country are indeed inferior to the way things are in other countries, would you disagree with this maybe if you're dreaming and have your head in the sand.

But I also agree that too many pinoys kiss foreigner ass, especially whites. I always see a lot of young pinays going with americans who are bald, overweight and 30 years older than them. Don't they have any dignity that they are nothing more than shameless gold diggers and the guys they are going after a bunch of maniac perverts? That indeed a shame and all too common...

Japan is a centralized country and way richer than the Philippines. You both have a point, the system is at fault but only partially. I think the people and our culture also contribute to the problem. Case in point, our inability to take anything seriously. It's probably 10% the system, 90% the people/culture.
