To reach out to the people right now is premature IMHO, it has to be done when the plebiscite is incoming. What this group needs to do right now, is to affiliate a political group to bring this up. At this stage, what help or support you need from the people?

Then how can the political group stand if the public is not informed? Still, it can't win the election. So, we still need to inform the public or increase the group's number. The best way I guess is to make the group as a party list. So that we can have a representative in Congress.

Hey, did Pnoy categorically said he is against? He only said in the news that it is not his priority yet at the moment. He inherited some problems from the previous admin. which needed an urgent action.

I've seen one of his interviews during the campaign. When asked if in favor of federalism, he said he is against it, but favors more autonomy and funds for LGUs instead.

More autonomy and more funds for the LGU's is tantamount to federalism. So, better draft a new constitution to have a clear guidelines and laws for the government officials.

it's a matter of putting things into the right perspective. what's the best way to inform the public? I guess it's thru the media, right? if a debate in congress is underway and it is reported in the media, the public would know. while it is being tackled at senate and/or congress, CFM may proceed with information dissemination. Unless you are planning for a people power, then that's another story.

No it's not, not even close. It still means that he decides how much to give us. In federalism, the tax shares are fixed and can't be changed by the P.M. Since when has Noynoy ever been in favor of a new constitution. From what I know, he will retain the present one because it was put in place by his mom and to replace it is a slap in the face to her legacy...

i doubt we can afford a change into federalism.

honestly federalism will just divide the country.

I am referring to the political party on how can it owns a seat in Congress if the people is not inform. We must have a representative first who advocates federalism and open the issue in Congress. Besides, it is different if the public thoroughly understands the issue. Shall we wait a debate first before informing the public?

Yah, it was drafted during her term. But I don't think Pnoy is that close minded, he knew some lapses in the constitution which hinders developments and need to be amended. Is is also written in the constitution (if my memory is right) that it can be changed after 5 yrs. A true leader doesn't think that way, a slap? The top priority is the common good.

You said more autonomy and more funds. Then, that's one concept of federalism.
