LoL so why say churches and mosques are/do the same? Paganism and Islam are two different religions and when they happened (churches being built over pagan structures) and where is a different issue all throughout. The fact that Islamic Mosques have been erected violently over in much much much more recent history and how they were carried out puts to shame the Church's very very early exploits. Fact is a Church was never built over a Mosque when they were first to be built on that land, not during the crusades, not during the Inquisition.

Show me a church built on a pagan/any other religious edifice that rivals the scale of the Muslims' conversion of former churches and temples such as those in Constantinople? Or Cordoba? Or Jerusalem? How about India? Bangladesh? Indonesia?

Muslim conquerors through many generations have set as precedents the building of Mosques to signify victory over befallen territory. You do not even know who is pushing for the establishment of that Mosque and how he has acted towards his adopted country, how naive. Even moderate american muslims are for the mosque not being built so close to ground zero.

Over 80% of Americans are Christians, and a greater percentage make up most of elected officials in the US. The American Constitution was written by Christians so your argument is now invalid. Why you dismissed Coolnezz' opinion by saying the US is not a good basis of comparison speaks volumes about you. And your claim of Christians being right even when wrong in this country is just stupid. Muslims are always wrong here? LOL

Hello?!? Earth to RonIvs, Christians didn't bomb the WTC? So yes, you get to keep your testes. Faith Mosque, Cordoba (Spain), Al-Aqsa Mosque etc are just some mosques built on former temples/churches. Read a bit on how they came to be and you will find bloodshed and conquest.

Naming it the House of Cordoba in reference to the Cordoba Mosque for one and building it close to ground zero another.

Because the idea of building a mosque at GROUND Zero is a gesture of insulting the families of the 9/11 victims, and the American people.

I'm not a muslim hater, in fact, I have few muslim friends and I dated a Muslim girl in high-school. Not all MUSLIMS are bad, but building a mosque at GROUND ZERO?!?! HELL NOOOO!!!! No other place in NY they can build one?? Hmmm... During the meeting yesterday, they said they plan to open the CORDOBA MOSQUE on Sept. 11, 2011. Tell me if this is still acceptable.

Also, the people behind the CORDOBA victory MOSQUE are refusing to disclose where does the $100M funding came from. Hmmm... sounds sketchy!!!
