US didnt lost in vietnam in military aspect. On January 1968 the North send the Bulk of its troops to attack 100 cities in the south. By the end of the city battles 37,000 Vietcong were killed while only 2,500 American soldiers were killed. The north should have lost the war if the US countered attacked but with the growing public demand to stop the war(in the US, due to the video footage of Vietcong soldiers[dead ones] inside the US embasy). The US government pulled the plug, and withdrawn US troops in Vietnam.

Wait about the contitution. Are you people talking about "Section 8. The Philippines, consistent with the national interest, adopts and pursues a policy of freedom from nuclear weapons in its territory.".

Hmm. The constitution doesnt bar us from having Nuclear Powerplants. The submarine in question is no different from the Standard Nuclear Power Plant. The issue here is that if the presence of foreign troops in the philippines constitutional. Is the presence Nuclear Sub part of the VFA? If it is, then it's constitutional. If not, then it's not. Its just that simple.

    Duh.. conspiracy theories..

can you cite a line in the 1987 constitution that says that all nuclear is banned..

cause according to my copy of the constitution only Article II, Section 8 has the word Nuclear in it and it states:
"Section 8. The Philippines, consistent with the national interest, adopts and pursues a policy of freedom from nuclear weapons in its territory."

i really don't mind that activities of the US whether of a submarine or warships. what i do mind is the north korea's stupid activities and is really a threat rather than the US. China is just plainly a stupid country for supporting north korea, which we all know is teasing for a war against anybody especially the south korea. thats more of a threat than US nuclear powered submarine.

I think a million or two is ok if it will bind the nation together. If the deaths of our brothers and sisters is what is needed to make us patriotic then so be it.

When the People is corrupt, so will be the Government. We can't stop corruption by changing the officials that govern the nation. Sacrifices must be made..
