way bale between a Palit and Inno3d..theyre both budget brands man so ok ra sila, ive used palit befor ok ra man..pero if you can get an nvidia preferred partner brand (eVGA,XFX,BFG) then that would be super..lahi ra jud kayo ang quality sa pagkabuhat

pero wait..first things first..what is your Proc? ive used a 6600GT in between my xp2600 and venice 3000+
the xp2600 bottlenecked my 6600GT which i noticed nung nag venice na ko unya the card got higher benchmark scores..if you have a PCIe slot though, id recommend waiting for the 7600GT, i have one and it smokes my 6600GT

the pc that m upgrading has an athlonxp 2600 on a7n8xx nf2 board, 1gb of geil value ram, 120gb of hdd (40gb + 80gb), GTR switching power supply. my current vga card on this pc is ATI 9500. ka-handle kaya ni ug 128mb na 6600 or 6600GT?

to add to this, m just a casual gamer. usually, racing games ra like richard burns at nfsmw, then sa shooter, farcry at COD2. i just need a card that would somehow extend the life of my dated hardware. m thinking of getting the vanilla 6600 na lang tingali for practical reasons.

uhm, your cpu can handle the 6600GT but like i said, it will bottleneck the card..not that the perfromance will be terrible, but you wont be able to enjoy 100% of its power (mind you, ok man ang FEAR using xp2600, 1024mb ram and 6600GT)

other than that youll be fine

pero if you are adventurous, try overclocking your cpu to xp2800 levels (is your xp 2600 a barton?)

i still suggest the GT over the vanilla though..gamay ra daw diff sa vanilla ug 9600pro

put it this way 6600GT>9800xt/pro>6600>9600pro

so go for the 6600GT (warning lang as the 6600GT is kinda dated na rin nowadays so dili jud na cya miracle card..but im sure you will enjoy the performance boost the 6600GT will give you)

yeah go witht he 6600GT but i would suggest going for a better brand other than palit palit is nice but i like XFX, Leadtek or even better BFG

Mu differ diay ang brand ani bai? or mu kusug ba if shiny ang card or unsa? nsay naka lahi sa 6600 ug 6600GT? Dili ni pareho ug speed nuh?

syempre like any manufactuere naa diff sa brand..some manufacturers factory overclock their cards too (like evga, XFX) some manufacturers like to stick to the reference desing by either nvidia or ATI (like evga, xfx, bfg) while others make their own PCB design ( like the Palit 6600GT nga lahi ang desing sa PCB ug cooler) as to which is better, read reviews na lang kay maski high end amnufacturers make bad products man sab usahay.

ug ang isa pa kalahian, ang policy sa warranty ug customer care..some offer 1 year warranty, some lifetime..naa pud nga ma void ang warranty pag i oc or pulihan ang cooler, while some (like evga) offers a very liberal warranty (maski i oc or pulhian ang cooler ok ra as long as dili physically damaged ang card)

as to the diff between the 6600 vanilla and the 6600 GT

they differ in core clock speeds (300 ata sa 6600 while the 6600GT comes with 500Mhz core clock) pati sa memory nag lahi sila (6600 vanilla uses DDR ug DDR2 while the 6600GT uses GDDR3, with the latter offering faster/greater memory bandwidth) chismis ra ni ha, vanilla 6600s are chips that didnt make it to 6600GT standards

anyway regarding sa shiny PCB sa eVGA, dili man mu kusog, it just gives an impression (depende sa mutan-aw) na taas ang quality sa card

i think i'll just get the plain 6600 model, cuz my pc specs is too far fetch from 6600GT cuz it uses ddr3. i might encounter problems running it. i'll just play it safe and practical na lang.
