unsa kaha na nga upgrades sa PAF bro? upgrade sa broncos or trainers?

Our Asian neighbors are beefing up their Airforce by purchasing 4th Generation Aircraft. - Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore & Indonesia.

    20-30 years behind ang Pinas.

seriously?? you never know how effective those prop plane are on COIN, geez!!!!, we dont need MRF not now, we dont have any external threat, we envy them because they have those cool stuff, pinoy jud.... having an MRF would certainly drain our resources.... wa jud diay ka kabalo sa COST OF OWNERSHIP sa mga eroplano nga bag-o, i suggest all people who keep saying nga weak ta, go here -> timawa.net and be educated as to why we still use those plane... ang Modernization dili na siya usa bag-sakan, it takes phases and batch...

prop plane are ideal for COIN/CAS, jet plane are useless and futile if used as a CAS on a COIN,

what we need now is interim fighter not MRF we are not ready for that we dont have the resources yet...

they prioritizing the NCAH and transport capability which is vital on the COIN effort of the AFP... but if they ever get a fighter, F16 is first on the list, it's been said before that F16 is top on list if US Congress allows it... whats important right now is more transport plane and probably madayon na ang NCAH nga acquisition nga sige lang ka failed...

And yes, I'm grown up and run a business that is doing okay, so I know what capitalism is all about. I pay my taxes. I am also involved in poverty alleviation programs among the very lumad in Mindanao you talked about, so yes, I know we need to teach people not only about getting three square meals a day but even better, giving them opportunities and a chance at decent and sustainable livelihood. I know what it means to give back. Most importantly, I'm doing my share. I hope you are, too.

BUT... the thread is about the Philippine Air Force so I'd rather discuss that.
    yeah you're right. my bad.

get rid of corruption in all levels..that's a surefire way of upgrading the capability of the airforce and the other branches of military service.

we all know we need to upgrade the equipment of the AFP, they need better aircraft, better seacraft and firepower. it is the limited resources that is keeping the upgrading very slow.

if given enough funds to upgrade, i am sure the AFP would like to get the best jet aircraft, helicopters, patrol ships and weapons available.

but the reality is, they can barely afford to get a propeller driven aircraft.

if we win the battle against corruption, we may just have a stronger and modern AFP.
