:\ reading from the forums you linked, it seems Fermi is not doing so well.

    General performance:
    gtx285 75%
    hd5850 80%
    gtx470 90-95%
    hd5870 100%
    gtx480 110-115%
    hd5970 140%
Only 10%-15% difference? between GTX480 and HD5870? This is sad for a newer technology

    HD5870 and GTX285 had 25% difference.
    HD5970 and GTX295 had 30% difference

5970 is 2 video cards but it only consumes 294 watts @ full load
5870 is 1 video card but only consumes 188 watts @ full load
GTX480 is 1 video card but it freakishly consumes 310 watts @ full load ( Source: Google Translate )

I don't even think GTX480x2 is worth getting because of that.

    My current opinion towards Fermi:
    Heat
    Consumption
    Expensive

hopefully more good news comes! Waiting for review sites to publish proper benchmarks, if its great then its time for me to buy

    by the way:
    lololol~

    yar!

GTX480 @ 310W TDP are factory overclocked versions.
Stock TDP @ 275W...but it is still hot.

Heres also hoping for good news and a surprise.
All Im hearing about is not good.
Nvidia still silent on the matter even its less than 2 weeks.

275 Watts for a Single GPU ? thats still pretty big. from what i read it is 298 watts for reference models:
    - GeForce GTX 480: 298 Watt
    - GeForce GTX 470: 225 Watt

ATM Not worth buying Unless you really want branding and PHYSX

i also made a fermi thread with all the current information in this forums, so we can all talk about it @ https://www.istorya.net/forums/comput...ml#post6791282

Well, actually Fermi was conceived at almost the same time with Cypress.
It's just that Cypress was born first and Fermi was born 6 months later...
