Default Network timeout: myDSL+Linksys WRTN Router

mga bro, pwede ka share on this problem. lately i have experienced network timeout or internet cut almost all the time. i have to restart my modem and router to get the connection back.

    my setup is

PLDT myDSL + Zytel Modem + Cisco Wireless N Router ----> attached devices

my attached devices at any given time are:
    1. wired PC Desktop
    2. wifi Laptop
    3. wired VoIP Modem
    4. wired Buffalo NAS
    5. wifi Nokia E71
    6. wifi desktop

I am also using CISCO Network Magic to managed all my connected devices.

i hope naa maka tabang since PLDT wont get their hands-on it kay wala na kuno sila labot sa router end.

daghan sad kaayo variables, like pldt connection, modem and router...pati pa mga lan cable ug connectors...

    hope naa maka tabang...

    thanks.

which device is having the problem? wired desktop or wifi device? is it one device or all of them at same time?

try to do a tracert to say yahoo and check the results when you experienced disconnection...
    -tracert Yahoo!

if there's a problem with your router the tracert result will show it is stuck in the router path.

by the way, what kind of disconnection did you experienced? Is it when you browse in Internet? this could also mean a DNS problem.

try to replace your micro-filter....have experienced intermittent disconnection before with this thing.

MOst of the timeout problem is due to ISP servers but pldt manage to overcome this problem. in user side from your adsl modem that came with the ISP; each time we connect to their network our MAC address is captured by their system.

when their system detect new MAc address or new landcard the global ip address will release then renew, this is the dynamic ip addressing system works. this is the time you experience downtime or timeouts.

can you post your network configuration?
