no, i ain't blaming God for the deaths. in fact, i was asking if he was the one responsible.

Again, aren't you actually assuming in your statement that God exists?
just because i don't believe in GOD doesn't mean i can't dissect his "behavior".

But by asking bro, "Why is God innocent?" aren't you actually assuming that he exists and, as you pointed out, that we can therefore "cross-examine" his nature or character? By asking that question, aren't you in fact presupposing that he exists and that his character (e.g., his goodness) ought to be questioned because he did not prevent natural evils like the earthquake in Haiti?
assuming and asking are two different things. i do agree, though, that one can ask a question at the same time creating an assumption towards an entity (or person) who is questioned. but this thread is a question directed to a society which claims GOD to be innocent in times of disaster, which i believe i made clear on the first post. maybe that wasn't clear enough. please let me know.

How do you conceive of "God" and how do you know that such a being doesn't exist?
how do you know that such a being exist?

    - the Holocaust (6,000,000 killed)
    - Rwanda (nearly 1,000,000 killed)

then an all powerful, loving god who looks on with apathy may not make sense. but if one looks from another perspective where life goes on even with the destruction of one form (i.e. the human body), then the concept of god may make sense. what do you think?
it would only make sense to a person who actually believes in life after death.

wla ka nasaag oi..hehe!! okay man imong gisulti..i agree man sa imong concept of god if naa jd god..for as long as dli lang sya anthro' okay ra...for me lang.

if i'd become an person who believes in a god...i'll make sure that my god doesn't have hands, feet, legs, eyes etc. and levels with his/her creations in terms of petty emotional biases such as jealousy, anger, destructive and so on and so forth.

yes. and your question "why is god always innocent?" would only make sense to a person who believes in god but does not truly believe in life after death. cause if one truly believe in life after death, then the reason for bodily death does not really matter nor does one remember it after one assumes another form.

    labad ra ba kaayo?

curious lang ko, why, if assuming you believe in god, that god will not take on human characteristics?
