he was only trying to help.... i know u really understood what he really meant......
im also using the chipset drivers. tried using different SATA cables, same results. what a wierd glitch.
yes i understand what he said, but terms used are quite wrong, Data cable and IDE cable ? this is topic is about SATA.Originally Posted by werty
Anyway thanks for your concern sir werty, changing the sata cable solved my problem
I don't know if you're talking about installing a new Sata drive and can't find it in windows, but if this is the problem, i think you'll have to activate the drive through Administrative Tools in Control Panels.
But if you mean an already installed Sata and sometimes not detected by windows, i have somewhat the same prob. Mine entirely hangs windows while doing something. After restart, Bios hangs trying to detect it. What i do is shut the CPU and pull the power connector of the Sata and plug back, it works by then... I hope you have a good PSU... i'm diagnosing PSU the cause...
My PSU is a dual 12v HEC 550Watts, I dont have any power related problems so far.
Mao gyud na ang problem bro, usahay nig boot nako sa PC dli makita sa windows akong SATA drive. But BIOS detects it w/o any problem.. kapoy lang mag sigi ug reboot. Im trying a new SATA so far ok pa gyud siya.
naa pa gyud ang problem nako ana, ni grabe na gyud bag.o lang, dugay na gyud mu boot ako system bisan e restart pa. have encountered this before sad, I changed the power cable (SATA) na uli.an back to normal. but i tried changing the power cable ungot gihapon, mu start na gyud cya after a few reserts.
kana ang voltage sa +12V naa ra around 10.8*** normal rana noh? di na maka affect sa system?
12v should never be below 11.99 critical kaayo ng 12volt bai, it will damage ur harddrive and videocard. 10.8 is extremely low.. better get a decent PSU
Oh ic..then it's probably an OS issue na...
Yataps nana 10.8 bro, low ra kaayo na sa 12V, better get a good PSU
I'm currently using a generic one, but it's rating is fine... though the 3V goes 2.68V... is this also critical?
