Deep Freeze Having Problem w/ SATA HDD or Nforce Chipsets?

I have installed DeepFreeze Standard 5.70 and right after it rebooted upon installation, there was no DeepFreeze icon visible on the system tray.. I have tried pushing the cntl+alt+F6 but no pop up came out. I have tried uninstalled but it said that "deepfreeze must be in thawed status for it shall be uninstalled". Fortunately, I have safely put a restore point before installing the program so I just rolled back the system but when I reinstall it again, same happened.. I have experienced this problem before with the same specs and a sata HDD. I have tried also the same board with a PATA HDD but it went okay... Just this sata cant but I have read that DeepFreeze supports SATA that is why I am confused... Anyone got idea about this? Whats the cause and the fix?

BRO chipmunk , si bai Gomi ni,

when installing nforce drivers on your board, exclude nforce sata\ide drivers, (install everyhting excluding this) and just let windows xp use its build in drivers ... depfreeze does have problems with those chipset drivers.

i see, da-an pa lagi ko naa dyud problem ning dp sa nforce drivers, duda dyud ko. cge cge, ill try the cure. thank you kaayo =)

bro gomi, youre the man! :mrgreen: i did uninstalled the mobo bundled driver of sata for the nforce chipset and dp's icon is visible now here in my personal pc, and the program is functioning normal already. bilib dyud ko nimo bro, thanks a lot. its really a big help

in the forums for deepfreeze, one rep for deefreeze (faronics) say they will fix the problem soon in their future version of deepfreeze, kuno.. hehehe, dugay pa siguro.

i see, murag dugay naman tingali ni nga problem sa ilang program in relation to latest nforce drivers/chipsets kay i guess i have read a certain forum about this problem also sauna...though wala lang kaayo ko mo focus adto before kay wala pa man ko katilaw og mobo with nforce chipsets, karon pa lang. anyway, again, thank you very much bro ha

mao =( i have read certain old dated forums with this same problem, and i assume some customers of them who encountered this kind of problem also w/ nforce chipsets and sata surely reported/complained already. by the way bro, naana dyud sila version 6 and still this is the output =( mao tingali ni nagpasabot nga bati ang ilang customer/technical support.....hmmmmm.....

without knowing your password pwd ka mo disable by the use of the software to disable sa dp....
