so what are your opinions?
OT: What do we mean when we say we cannot prove nor disprove the existence of God? How would we define "proof", or what constitutes "proof" for us?
OnT: The question is a bit tough to answer because it leads to more questions. Is God only an idea or a concept? If so, what power does a mere idea have on our life?
As a Christian, I believe that God is more than an idea. He is real. Of course, I don't know that with absolute certainty. My position has always been that it's more plausible than not that he exists.
I can't remember when I really began to believe that God is real. I guess it came gradually. I guess I didn't really gave it much thought then. My experience of my faith was initially a personal and emotional one. I got back my faith through fellowship and prayer with other people. Later, I got interested in the intellectual aspect of my faith and this only served to strengthen my faith in God.
I think about God every day, and I do my best to know more about him and what his will for my life might be.
