I guess I will for now ...It sounds, that you can be trusted, a lot of people on this forum who loves to talk things but when you try to read and comprehend, it doesn’t attach to any honest information… scarcely to convinced!

My work allows me to manage different people from different race, only two rules I gave during the start of the project till it done.


1. Contribute your knowledge Honestly.
2. Or allow the team to work it out Perfectly.


A lot of times we were offered and introduced to a lot of tools delivered videos, slideshows, and magazines, all have the same goals, to provide a Rapid Development, my company are willing to pay no matter what it cost, but it always doesn’t fit, I admire their effort and success but Microsoft is really fast, and the more I get in touch with their supports, I found out that they are more cheaper, more brilliant in giving excellent support… one of our modules here is modified by a well-known engineers in Microsoft, from the bug we found in Windows Vista, this module came from Dubai and shipped here in Singapore. And guess what? It was free… They take it as personal failure, though they are no longer legally responsible for that…


Glad we knew that we are not having just TOOL but an honest and sincere business. But for the sake of my honest opinion, C++, Python, Haskell, Visual Studio and knowledge of the .NET framework is a way to go (for us as of now)… PowerBuilder on the other hand needs to pump up more… no reason for Sybase to bring this back to the public if there are no people who were looking at Sybase’s doorway. History allows me to understand what PB can give and what Sybase can provide, if it was really that great it lives brighter than what I expect…

My old IDE in C++ was made in Delphi... and some distinguished light tools, I couldn't imagine how if Anders Hejlsberg didn't move to Microsoft. And I'm so curious with this Architect Edition they offered, it’s the closest rival for Team System I guess…

Bloodshed CPP?

Microsoft will be still Microsoft even Anders did not move. They have money to attract one. Im sure there are lots of talent out there as good as Heljsberg. To name one, Joshua Bloch is one of the computer science saint.

Mark, I am also using Visual Studio ( C#, VB.NET, ASP.Net, Telerik controls ) for my other clients. Usually on a technical support ( debugging, adding new features ) basis. Don't worry I love .NET technology too.
