Anyone read the book which spawned the movie Body Of Lies? The setting is mostly in a Muslim world.

There was a discussion about the Inquisition. The Catholics were counting on their raid on the Muslim territories to be an easy one. What they didn't expect was the natives were actually prepared and actually fought back. Hence, nahurot sila sa mga Muslim.

And then they pointed out all that BS about the war on terror is actually a repeat of the inquisition. When we fight for the wrong reasons, the consequences are far more costly.

free in a box? i don't exactly understand what you mean. the "free" i'm thinking is emancipation from the bounds of religious authority. things beyond man's understanding? like what, spiritual life? there is actually no proof of this. if we take that same logic then i'd choose to worship the Sun---at least i know the Sun exist.
