properly subnetted.
it's probably your authentication setup.
client and router should have the same.
SSL, IPSec, L2TP, which one are you using?

only OpenVPN for Linux, MS Win Server 2003/2008 VPN,
and my personal Linksys router DD-WRT VPN version.
not Cisco Routers.
