Why not hear from somebody who is working at Lexmark... me. Yes, para sa kadtong nangapply, just be patient coz Lexmark is very careful in choosing employees. If they tell you to wait, obviously, it does not mean Yes or No but Wait. Its been a common practice here in the Philippines that if companies tell you to expect a call after an interview, you really don't have to expect. Lexmark is different. What Lexmark is looking for is integrity not just skills because skills can be acquired through a lot of things like training. For an example, if mag integrity or background check sila and they found out nga callcenter hopper ka, gudluck nalang kay that will show that you cannot stay long sa usa ka company and Lexmark will always make sure that people will stay long with them.
So if dili mo makahulat, ayaw nalang mo pagexpect nga makadawat dayon mo ug clear Yes or No coz then again, integrity cannot be proven immediately unless proven by intensive background check. I even remembered those days nga nangapply pa ko, dihay ni anha sa amo neighbor doing a background check on me (mura bitaw kag nangapply ug loan, hehehe)
On the brighter side, Lexmark is ok with their hiring process. So far ok sila ana nga part.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN I AM NOW A HAPPY EMPLOYEE.
NOW, lets talk about the things I dislike now that I'm here:
1.
Job offer. I am not satisfied. If you are working in a call center and you are now in a level 2 position or higher, trust me, dako kaayo ug cut sa imo present salary coz their compensation package is not really that competitive compared to call centers as far as basic salary is concerned.
I was a Level 3 agent with E______e before and guess... my salary is just like 50% from my previous job. Diha lang kunuhay nila bawi-on sa benefits in which not everyone cannot avail.
2.
Workload. The reason why I gambled working here is because i thought it would be less pressure than working in a callcenter (as what everybody said), but it's not. It may appear that dili kaayo pressure at the beginning but unknowingly, hinayhinayan diay ka ug puno sa mga task to the extent na you will be rendering overtime almost everyday.
3.
"Overtime? Thank you!". In Lexmark, rendering overtime is discouraged. However, the nature of work you have will force you to render overtime, and if that happens.. "thank you!". Mas maayo pa sa callcenter kay bisan 30 minutes nga OT, naay bayad.
4.
CSSC department . It sucks (my apology for the language) I wondered why they, still, keep on hiring people for other positions when in fact, there are most of us who are performing tasks for 2 or 3 people. That's why we are forced to do "charity". Hello? Is there some sort of imbalance here? We already brought this up with strong, supporting data but they ignored it. Maybe daw nagtipid ang company. Now they are opening more positions! Great! Doesn't make any sense
Well, maybe na atol lang cguro ko sa bati nga department coz I can still see other people happy with their job. But for me, I HATE MY JOB!
So for those who knows a lot of good or bad things about it, it's your discretion and good luck!
