That is the point, that both sides want to be 100% right and have the other side be 100% wrong. If they were to accept to meet in the middle and look at all the facts, myths, misinformation, and information, they each would figure out they were 50% right all along. Each side would then walk away smarter and would have 80% of the real story of our past answered.
Problem is false pride, which is the largest hurtle to overcome.
Can you possible ask a more silly and hard question to ask. There are more stars than grains of sand on the beaches of the world. We are but specks living on one grain. And one speck asks another speck, you explain the world as a whole to me. Then you ask the speck to explain the method of how God created the universe and why that God exist? That is like asking a flea on the back of a dog in Spain to explain how the "Hubble Telescope" works.
Here is how it works, a long time ago something so complex, did something so amazing, in a way you can not possibly understand. You just do not have a brain large enough to grasp it all, not an insult because nobody does. We are just too small to grasp it all. You read the Bible try to understand you limitations and just accept it. And you want the Cliff Notes, if you tried to stuff all that information into your head it would take a thousand year download, then you head would explode..... hehehhe..... BOOM!!!!!!!!
If you read the Bible it tells you how he did it, and why he did it. You really think you could understand...........hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
That is the part that is funny, that any man thinks he could understand of explain God, hell most can not balance a checkbook, or remember a girlfriend/wife's birthday or anniversary. Some just ask too much and offer so little in return. I'm smart, tell me all about God....ahahahahaha
That is the funniest thing I have read in a long time on any forum
Of course the odds would be that my core beliefs would be different, because I would be influenced by my environment in which I would be raised. If I were to hear the gospels and the words of the Christ and I refuse him, than the burden is on me. If you hear the truths and turn your back then you will be judged accordingly. If you are never exposed to the word, then that judgment would be on the type of life you lived. I believe the judgments are on a sliding scale, the more you hear the gospels the harder the judgments will be.
To ask what if there was no Bible is only a hypothetical question, much like asking if I were born a crab. I was not born a crab, and the Bible does exist. I believe the bible was written by man and inspired by God, just as the Bible says it was created; so God could save those willing to hear and understand his word. If you hear the word and refuse the word, then the whole weight of his judgment will be placed on you. There are no do-overs, time-outs, or second chances; when you die it is final and his judgment is absolute.
That is just the way it is, his creation and his rules. Do I wish it were different? absolutely. That is just the way it is, even if you refuse to believe, and there is nothing we can do about it. All I can do is comply with his rules. Who am I to think I have the right to second guess the Creator? I am nothing more than a bug in the whole of his creation.
They will face the final judgment, and the will be weighed according to their deeds and their faiths. If the heard the Gospels and refused them, then they will be judged according to that as well. Like I stated above it will be on a sliding scale. For me to say that a True righteous Hindu or righteous Moslim will be damned is not for me to say. You ask an impossible question to answer, for I claim to be no God. But all religions have a final judgment, and is that amazing that it is so, like a distant memory from a common past.
Jesus said, "I am the only way to my father." The only way, so if you choose to take another then by all mean walk till your feet bleed. I will walk in the path set forth by the Christ. He tells me I will not suffer the second death and I will have eternal life.
And for your information it is not my "so called Bible" It is called the Holy Bible and it was inspired by God and parts are 4,500 years old and predates all the so called other major religions of the world. So if you want to follow the newer religions or no religion than that is your choice. That's called "Free Will" which is what God gave us. So do what ever you want. I will follow and have faith in the gospels and the words of my Christ, for he is the only one that offers true salvation.
I will not be judged by an Atheist or non-believer such as yourself. That is for my Creator to do. I will see you at the final judgment, I will know you you will be the scared one on his knees begging for forgiveness; for you will not feel so smart and clever then, once it is too late to change. You will know me, I will be the one standing with tears in my eyes sorry I could not save you. Just remembered I tried but you just too smart.
I will outlive my executioner.
You are not using your CRITICAL THINKING here but just your FAITH which is never universal in the first place.
What is your basis or EVIDENCE and PROOF that there is such thing as a final judgment? Do you think the world will end because of the final judgment and do you really think that this is LITERAL? Sounds like Science Fiction.
The UNIVERSE is here to stay as long as there is the LAW of EVOLUTION!
BTW, many people esp. from other christian denominations have predicted the final judgment long ago that the world will end but they were PROVEN WRONG AGAIN!![]()

OT:
actually, sir, based on google (disclaimer: please research more to check the veracity of these statements), the oldest organized religions are the following:
1. Hinduism - around 1,500 B.C.E. (before common era), only because the vedas were written during that time. Hinduism could be much older than this.
2. Judaism traces its roots back to the patriarch Abraham, who lived around 1,800 B.C.E. Moses who first recorded the Torah, the Jewish holy text, in 1,400 B.C.E. btw, the jews are still waiting for their messiah.
3. Zoroastrianism is sometimes called the world's oldest prophetic religion. Some believe Zarathustra lived in the 6th century B.C.E., while others trace his writings to the 14th or 13th centuries B.C.E.
4. Jainism - The first of Jainism's sacred lords, called a Tirthankara, lived in the 8th century B.C.E. The last of these lords was Mahavir, who lived in the 5th century B.C.E. and was a key figure in spreading the religion.
5. Buddhism -The philosophical teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha, spread around Asia after his death in 483 B.C.E.
Oddly enough, the two religions that dominate the world today are relative newcomers to the spiritual scene. Christianity began with the teachings of Jesus Christ around 30 C.E., and Islam started in 610 C.E. with the prophet Muhammad's revelation.

funny. i once asked my mother the same question. her answer was the same with jamesmusslewhite: Of course the odds would be that my core beliefs would be different, because I would be influenced by my environment in which I would be raised.
when i asked more questions, she said: leave me be with my faith and beliefs![]()
