    The answer is yes, you need to turn on port-forwarding para port-3389. Try it!

    Talking Need assistance in Advanced Routing using linksys router

    Hi, especially to master Beor hehe. Im having a problem in configuring Advanced routing like (Gateway to Router and Router to Gateway)

    Here's the scenario:

    1. Internet ->
    2. Modem ->
    3. Router1(has 5 ports 1 for WAN/Internal and 4 for external) ->
    4. 3 Swithes connected at the number 1 2 3 external ports of Router1 ->
    5. Workstations/Servers
    6. Then my Router2 is also connected at Router1 which I plug to the number 4 external port.

    I have 2 routers

    Wireless router1 - 192.168.1.1 (the one who managed the physical network connection include the internet)
    Wired router2 - 192.168.1.2 (who only manage 2 unit of Backup servers is only connected to this router)

    Question:

    Now guys, what could be an operation mode (routing protocol) will be applicable on that particular scenario. I just want to know how the routing works and processes to its route, how it will secure or can be seen even if they have different network range.

    GATEWAY MODE or ROUTER MODE?

    please provide your answer with explanation if you have a diagram to your suggestion much better! hehe salamat daan mga I.T Storyans!
