ANswers:

1) Genes strongly influence behavior but do not control it. Neither does a person's environment - family, upbringing, life experiences - completely determine who he or she will turn out to be. "Genes make certain behaviors more likely, but genes don't automatically lead to actions," said Gregory Kaebnick, co-director of a National Institutes of Health-sponsored project on genetic ties and the future of the family. "We can still believe in free will."

Like what I found, our behaviors still tends to be a matter of free will. Free will is our freedom to choose our own direction.. Our freedom to choose what to do and what to become. Therefore, sir, I guess that there are genes that influence our behavior though they cannot directly control it.

2) I guess that the most important and probably the most easiest way to value cultural diversity is for us to respect the differences of other cultures to our own. We must all understand that though we don't look the same and though our traditions are also different we still end up sharing something in common. We are all humans and we are created in God's likeness.
