our wisdom is not as great as His. we cannot hope to comprehend the things that happens around us. we can only pray for courage and strength and guidance to help us get through the struggles of every day life. if some people think that they are better than that, then its up to them.

reminder though, pride is the mother of all sins.
i'm glad that you know where your place is with prayers.. i'm not all against in your belief.. but if it kills life because of some people's stubborn reliance on prayer to the point that they would deny any medical assistance.. now that is sick and should be taken seriously

ugh it's like lottery. i'd never bet my life on miracles. 1%? pfft. i would die if i'd pray for healing instead of going to the doctor, like that kid on the news.

    Chad... you made me LOL.

Of course you will die... magpa-ospital man gani ang pari nga mag cge ug ampo. Ang pag-ampo ubanan sa lihok sa tawo, because prayer is a conversation with God, not the solution itself.

    @ Trip

Based on the situation of the stories- the families involved were asking for some type of an unnatural occurence from God. Wishing as if God will bend nature to provide the desired result, hence they were relying upon a miracle to happen.

Praying is expressing praise to God, thanking Him, confessing to Him, or asking a request for something or someone's well being, only that.

So @ TS, No-- praying wont kill yah, waiting for a miracle and doing nuthin will hehehe

why would one praise, thank, confess to, or ask something from an omniscient god?
    he should know that already.
