Based on my own understanding, LCD TV's are more expensive for the same size because they have built in speakers , TV-Tuner and remote. Image quality on the LCD monitor and TV is practically the same IF they use the same panel type.

    Most LCD monitors comes in 16:10 aspect ratio ( 1680x1050 / 1920x1200 ) while LCD TVs come in 16:9 ( 1280x720 or 1920x1080 )

LCD monitors are NOT for PC only, that is one ignorant statement if you ask me.

kung resolution ang hisgutan ... kung local tv ... imo lcd tv nga hi def way ayo gihapon - pareho ra sa monitor sa cpu nga lcd nga gi taud ug tv tuner. kung blue ray ... payter kaayo imong LCD TV nga hi def! blue ray + lcd tv = good to go! (you dont need to be tech savvy here ... hehehe!)
