Not ALL chow chows are expensive. If it is a well bred specimen, then expect it to be expensive, no matter what breed it is. All dogs are supposed to be expensive if only it was bred properly that it fits the proper standards of the breed. You can say that Chow chows are a bit pricey than other breeds like Labs, duchs, pits and etc here in Philippines, why? because there are a lot of breeders that just breed and breed for the sake of business, needless to say, the price of these certain breeds have lowered through the times due to irresponsible breeding. But if we'll have a deeper look, all dogs are generally expensive in the canine market. Try searching dog prices outside Philippines, then you'll stumble into Labs that may cost 50k php+; but here? Due to lots of "rush" breeders, this breed received a lower view, nga hangyoon pa jud sa uban taw ug 5 to 6k? sad right?

Wa palang nibarato ang Chow here in the Philippines, specifically, Cebu. But soon, when irresponsible breeders hit this breed. Makasugat na nya mog Chow chow nga tag 7k.

dili lang chow ts daghan pa. french bulldog, english bulldog, english mastiff, st bernard etc. pricing mag matter sa quality sa dam in sire nga gegamit, ang quality sa mga litter,ang name sa breeder, if imported ang lines ug mag matter sad ang supply and demands. tan awa ang lab ug shitzu,doberman ug uban pa.makapalit naka ug 7-10k.

mahal ang chow2x for me kay tungod sa iya temper..usually chow2x grbe kusog maka-paak unya sa grooming pd grbe kay taas buhok nya large breeed pa jd den selosa ang chow pd sa uban breed then usualy iya ra pd owner ang mka touch nya...then asa man mo manyita og dog breed nga blue ang tongue only on chows rman cguro..
