Everytime I turn on my PS3 theres an update..Mas daghan ang update kaysa games akong gi-duwaan sa akong PS3. The updates are more on the Gaming functionality. Now there's an update again for a "16 Players Text chat" but IMO M$ private "Party Chat" up to 8 players where you can talk & hear each other is much better. No more racist homophobes rednecks you can hear that continues to demand that we must speak english...

Although the PS3 streaming capability & DVD upscale is great..But I always watch Hulu on my PC & unlimited streaming of Netflix movies on my Xbox360. All of my Buddies on my Friendslist owns PS3's. But for strange reason, we always play games on the 360. And yes...we just use it for a 'Blu-Ray" player...

Ohh if you have a Samsung Blu-ray Player needs to update a firmware? Heres the site: Click Me

If the Party Chat will be implemented on the PS3, u cant go wrong on that. If the Engineers on Sony can implement this before the PS4...come back & tell me.

The party Chat on a console is the greatest invention since Slice Bread...

for me the text chat can suffice for now, it helps in the organizing in the games, and in the game itself meron naman voice chat

    EDIT:

let me give an example, lets say i'm playing Demon's Souls and i'm already in my clan's Socom channel, and they are already chatting about something and the chat msgs will popin in the upper right of my screen while i'm playing, its up to me to respond or not hehe so when someone says, "Clan Match 9:30pm who is in?", then i'll pop in and type "i'm in!" so on etc... and i dont' miss any of the chat messages because its saved while i'm playing to i can pause my game and checkout whats the convo about if i didn't catch it

The Xbox 360 already have that feature since it rolls out of production 11/04/2005. Sony is playing catch-up. And PS3's on-line features still does not surpass M$...Thats the Honest Truth. Having owning multiple conosles & playing em..I know this.

Chat text will always be "Chat Text" a message that pops you have a mesage? That stays there untill u reposnd? yep thats the norm; you know it, I know it, they know it & everybody in the gaming world knows it.

But like what I've said..."Private Party Chat" is the best thing...since Slice Bread.

Not all that cheap (pero cheaper compared sa katung mopalitay pa ko ug blu-ray player). Mas practical ang PS3 kay apil na gaming console. That's why I opted for the PS3 instead bisag dili kaayo ko hilig ug games.

I wish that the PS3 will support one day in future NTFS filesystem. This would be so cool, because we coupld play HD movies which exceed 4GB via external HDD or Flashdrive.
