it will work just fine. i'm using a silverstone st75zf 750 watts PSU and my UPS is just 600 watts.. as long as your CPU will not eat more than 600 watts...![]()
"I'm also using a 500VA / 300 Watts (Output Power Capacity & Max Configurable Power) UPS (APC) and a typical generic AVR (I think its 500 Watts) to provide my PC with power."
W=VA, so kung moingun kang 500VA ang rating sa imung UPS, its automaticaly 500watts.
"Would it be OK for me to use my current UPS and / or AVR if I will be using a PSU higher than 500-550 Watts (probably ranging from 600-700 Watts)?"
well you can be ok, as long as you bear in mind that your maximum power capacity is the based on the components with the lowest power capacity, so you can only use maximum of 500-550 watts because that is the rating of you avr/ups, and it will make your 600-700 watts psu's 100-200watts completely useless(in-terms on power limit).so if you want to get the best from the two (ups/avr and psu) you better get them closer or make them have the same rating.
hope this helps![]()
My suggestion bro is to buy a power supply that would match the video card that you are planning to upgrade. Dungan na upgrade para match gyud.
In my case, I wanted a Inno3d NVidia 9800GTX+ 512MB 256bit DDR3 DHT which needs a true rated PSU na 450W - 500W. So a Silverstone ST-50F akong gi pair up which is supported by a Pulsar 1000W UPS.
Puede nimo e apas upgrade ang UPS nimo kay kulang na gyud nang power iya e support.
