Hi, I will be buying a new pc and would like to get your opinion on what specs to buy and where to buy.


Budget: 15-16K for surfing/online movie watching and sometimes gaming

preferred: LED monitor, AMD processor
and uban components wa na koy idea

any suggestions will be appreciated!!!!

If you're doing no gaming at all with this rig, why not just to stick with a dual core? Probably an Athlon II x250. Save some cash later an upgrade to a true rated PSU and perhaps a VC if you get a gaming itch.

EDIT: Juts re-read the first post so some gaming diay. What games are you interested in? FPS? MMORPG?

so, i guess you're right,,mypa dual core nalang....anyway, in ur opinion asa mas maau, Athlon x2 260 or Intel Dual Core E5800??

adto GI, naa sila mga package system both intel and amd on 16k price range, e check lang asa mas ganahan nimo.

Ang E5800 kay LGA775 and if I'm not mistaken on the way out na ni tungod sa "I" series sa Intel ug sa SAndy Bridge. It's still a good processor no doubt about it, pero it's old tech as some of the people here will point out. In addition limited ka in motherboard choices for LGA775. Most probably mga budget boards ra gyud imo makaya like those based no the G41 or G31 chipset.

On other hand the AMD processor mentioned is AM3, newer tech. Supposedly if you go with a more advanced motherboard you get such new tech as DDR3, USB3, SATA 3, PCIE 2.0, etc., etc., And as an added bonus with Bulldozer soon to be released these processors are going to get some price drops.

And there you have it, some very hard choices to make.
