Both the owner of the sire (stud dog) and owner of the dam (bitch) must sign this application form. Submit the form together with the fee of Php 70.00 plus Php 130.00 per puppy. Q: What is a kennel name?
A: A kennel name usually is used as a prefix (the first word in every dog's registered name) and it serves to identify the kennel or breeder where the dog came from. In human terms it is like your surname or family name. Every breeder must have a valid registered kennel name in order to register a litter with the AKCUPI. An application form is available at the office or downloadable from this website.(BACK TO TOP)
Q: I have a purebred dog but with no papers, can I register it with the AKCUPI?
A: No, we only accept for registration purebred dogs with valid pedigrees issued by recognized local or foreign dog clubs. (BACK TO TOP)
Q: My 11 month old bitch just gave birth, can I register the litter?
A: We only accept for registration litters from bitches at least 12 months old and above at the time of mating. Breeding a bitch younger than 12 months of age puts her health and that of her pups at risk. An immature bitch's reproductive organs are not yet fully developed and breeding her at too young an age could lead to stillbirths and complications during pregnancy & whelping. The AKCUPI will NOT promote the practice of breeding bitches that are less than 12 months old, it is similar to encouraging teenage pregnancies in humans. We will strictly adhere to our minimum breeding age policy with no exceptions in accepting litters for registration.
Q: Does the AKCUPI accept dogs for listing?
A: We accept for listing all dogs who would participate in our rabies vaccination campaign. Be it a purebred, mixed breed or aspin (asong pinoy), all dogs are welcome to join our FREE rabies vaccination program. This is part of our social commitment in helping make life better for Man's Best Friend. We do not issue pedigrees for listed dogs. (BACK TO TOP)
Q: How is the AKCUPI similar to the PCCI?
A: Both the AKCUPI and PCCI function as a dog registering body issuing certified pedigrees, registering litters, and keeping a data base on dog registrations, records and ancestry. The AKCUPI will also hold championship dog shows, seminars and everything else expected of a national dog club. (BACK TO TOP)
Q: My dog is registered with the PCCI, can I also register it with the AKCUPI?
A: Yes, we accept all dogs with foreign & local pedigrees issued by a recognized dog club. We do not discriminate against any dog organization and everybody is welcome to register your dog with us. (BACK TO TOP)
Q: Are you affiliated with any international dog organization?
A: The AKCUPI is currently affiliated with the KENNEL CLUB UNION OF ASIA, an international dog association with member clubs throughout Asia. We are also applying for membership with the Federacion Canine Internationale (FCI), a worldwide international dog organization based in Spain. In time we intend to get recognition with more international kennel organizations. (BACK TO TOP)

Q: Is registering dogs and holding dog shows what dog clubs are all about?
A: The AKCUPI's main function would be to register dogs, hold shows and promote the purebred dog sport in the country. But we have a social responsibility to the community. the AKCUPI believes in loving and caring for Man's Best Friend. Be it a purebred dog, mixed breed or aspin (asong pinoy), all dogs deserve to have a good home. Part of our proceeds will go to support the various animal welfare foundations, veterinary associations and similar dog related causes as this will be our humble contribution. We are not all about making money, but trying to make life better for our four legged friends.
