    My share::

    Disable the router capability of your modem. Set-up PPPoE in the Linksys router and set the connection as "Always On" or "Keep Alive". Then test the Internet and check if the connection is stable before connecting your switch.

    based sa Setup nimo sir. i think what you need is a router, if you only have this setup

    Plain Modem Zyxel (PLDT)---> Switch--->Multiple computers : only 1 PC will get internet connection

    Reason: your modem only provides 1 public IP - so generally its good for 1 PC, a switch is a networking device that joins multiple computer within one Local Area Network. However, A Switch does not have the capability to assign Individual IP address, a router will help you solve your problem, most routers have a 4 ethernet ports available so if you have less than 4 computers, no need for the switch.

    So your ideal setup should look like this;

    Plain Modem Zyxel (PLDT) ----> Router----->Switch (If Needed)-----> PC's

    Hope it Helps!
