bro, I've heard thousands of Priests preaching this line "Man cannot live on bread alone". If praying and worshipping can live up my soul from the hardships of life then let it be done. The Priest should once again "practice what they preach". But since you mentioned this line "What if i am a plain businessman" you just answered your own question. You are a businessman not a Priest, Father Suarez is a Priest not a businessman so why consider business plans and future investments? Isn't it logical in a sense? God's servants don't need money, they live up with praising and worshiping God. well sakto man nga 1 Billion is nothing compared to what HE (the almighty) has given us. Our lives alone is not enough pay our debts. But 1 Billion worth of stone icon and publicity stunts? how about 1 Billion worth of Church scholars? If they get their jobs they will repay the kindness back to the Church! and earn a descent amount for themselves as well without asking another favor. 1 Billion worth of medicines? for the sickly, if they recover they will pay the kindness back to God and start working again to earn and live anew. 1 Billion worth of Feeding programs? To live another day and reconcile for sins which then again repays the kindness back to the Church. That would've been Godly, and that would've been what God wants.

you're correct bro.. but you cant deny the fact that we all need money to survive, its either came from business or love offerings it all boils down to HOW the proceeds may be used. will it goes to the priest alone or to the people who badly needs it? thats why all i can say is lets just wait and see how it will go.

Have you considered that Fr. Suarez can raise even MORE funds for the poor and his many humanitarian projects? His project could revitalize the economy of the entire area.
