I won't discuss further how good these OEM makers are, but these companies are the ones who made the PSUs for Coolermaster, Antec, Corsair, OCZ, PC Power & Cooling, & Thermaltake. Experience wise, they are not neophytes either, because the top honchos of SilverStone & their RD team came from an "old" & established company which is Coolermaster. Now, is this a marketing hype?....
HEC is an OEM PSU maker but they also have enthusiast line products.
I have been using HEC zephyr 750. My PC is stable so far. My only complain is that its not modular and the cables are a mess to manage. And too many power type connectors and such.
Silverstone or HEC doesn't really matter what, both will give your PC stability. And that is what I am after.
I have tried a 500w Dynamo before. Somehow my games keep crashing when I changed to HEC my games are very stable no crashes. So this is what I have observed when using generic and branded PSU.
