well putting SCP in ur product manual and a feature is clearly a marketing hype if inag test wala diay
its so annoying buying a certain product that u hope naa ana nga feature well in fact wala if e test important kaau gyud raba ng SCP tsk tsk tsk
yup sakto gyud ka sir simoko tested my silverstone psu with there SCP so far so good
been using hec psu in my old P4 3.0 ghz pc for 4 years even if sold na to nga rig wala naguba gyud still used pa sa nakapalit ang prob lang is iya 2 ka fan noisy kaau
i guess ang ball bearings maoy culprit ato.....
and in my opinion the price will tell also its performance if we examine a product lets say same wattage
then naa price difference consider man sad if active pfc, with short ciruit protection, overcurrent,over voltage protections, and iya mga certifications..... and beside being a good reputable brand

Kabalo ka bro imo mansad gi under estimate ang HEC ang question naka gamit naba ka ana? I have tested this PSU bro and its worth buying kaysa Silverstone frankly speaking. When you say marketing hahaha ayaw pag tumo tumo ug istorya mas karaan pa kaayo ang HEC compare sa silverstone. And silverstone mas commercial cya kaayo bro ug new ra kaayo na cya base sa experience lang HEC is more reliable.

Anyway its my choice bro and its all up to you unsa imo ganahan. I tested my latest HEC Raptor it has SCP of course. Di na cla mag buhat ug marketing lang bro coz naa na cla balaud gi sunod and do you think marketing lang na dako kaayo kag sayop, if ing ana lang ka sayon do you think i sacrifice nila ilang standards or Brand name sa usa ka marketing lang? and as what simoko said ay kog ingna mas labaw pa cya sa manufacturer nga mas nakabalo jud? naa manay QA bro di mana cla ka pasar if marketing lang na or sulti lang na. DI nalang nako tason ang istorya ug di nalang tani lalisan its our choice ako lang tubag lang ni sa imong dako nga sayop.

to be specific HEC power OP 475 watts psu ako gamit sa ako p4 sauna for 4 years plus nako gamit as what i stated before..... so far wala ko prob ato na psu.....sir
i was just agreeing with sir simoko sa iya statement......about sa iya psu na test.....
oh by the way sir i did some research ni kuti kuti gyud ko check sa HEC website and so far wala ko nakit an sa ila PSU na 80+ CERTIFIED maski bronze lang..... or maybe wala nako matarong og check gyud kay wala man ko nakita sir in which dili basta basta maka kuha ana na certification....

@ yugi: i never claimed nor implied nga mas kama-o pa ko sa manufacturer...all i said was i experimented w/ one of my HEC WINpower 550AB and short-circuited it & NAMATAY...nga naa man unta SCP(short circuit protection) sa iyang manual...read...read...read & read again my post on the first page...comprende...

Just want to have some clarifications here, HEC is an OEM maker, they make PSUs for other companies. SilverStone "did not" make their PSUs. FSP, Enhance, Etasis, Seventeam, Seasonic,& Impervio made the SilverStone PSUs. I won't discuss further how good these OEM makers are, but these companies are the ones who made the PSUs for Coolermaster, Antec, Corsair, OCZ, PC Power & Cooling, & Thermaltake. Experience wise, they are not neophytes either, because the top honchos of SilverStone & their RD team came from an "old" & established company which is Coolermaster. Now, is this a marketing hype?....
